We recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure accommodation availability and allow time for dive coordination with Tela Marine. Last-minute bookings (2-3 weeks) may be possible depending on availability. Contact us to check current availability for your preferred dates.
Solo travelers are welcome! Book a private room for single occupancy, or we can try to match you with another solo traveler for the shared room rate (not guaranteed). Many solo divers find Tela's friendly community and dive boat atmosphere makes it easy to connect with other travelers.
Absolutely! Contact us after your initial booking and we'll coordinate extended nights at the treehouse hotel or help you book additional accommodations in Tela. Many guests choose to add 1-2 extra nights to explore more of the area or get in additional dives.
Fly into Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP) in San Pedro Sula. We coordinate airport transfers—just share your flight details after booking and we'll arrange pickup (typically between 12pm-4pm) and dropoff. The drive from SAP to Tela takes approximately 90 minutes.

$750 non-refundable deposit per guest is required at booking. Full payment due 90 days before arrival. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.
International medical coverage is required for all travelers to Honduras! Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your investment. If you're unable to join the retreat, travel insurance will often issue a refund when purchased within 7 days of your original retreat payment. We advise that all guests book travel insurance within a week of submitting your deposit to protect your investment.
After your accommodation is confirmed, we'll connect you directly with Antal at Tela Marine. You'll discuss your certification level, diving interests, and number of dives you'd like to do. He'll create a custom dive schedule and pricing package based on your preferences. This all-inclusive package includes 6 dives.
Due to challenging logistics, we strongly recommend the Mangrove Resort stay at the end of the week. Please reach out for a custom request to change the sequence of your stay.
Most dietary needs can be accommodated—just let us know your restrictions when booking.
While this is a self-guided experience, you'll likely meet other divers and travelers through Tela Marine dive boats, at local restaurants, and at your accommodation. Many guests end up making new friends during their stay!
