What's the typical group size?

Our retreats are intentionally small, with groups ranging from 8-12 guests. This intimate size allows for meaningful connections, personalized attention, and a genuine sense of community while still providing the energy and diversity that makes group travel special.

What fitness level do I need?

Each retreat has a different activity level clearly marked on its page:

• Moderate: Comfortable walking 2-4 miles, some elevation changes
• Active: Comfortable hiking 4-6 miles with varied terrain
• Very Active: Comfortable hiking 4+ miles, significant elevation gain

All hikes are optional! We provide alternatives for different fitness levels. If you have concerns, reach out and we can discuss modifications.

What's included in the price?

Included:

• All accommodations
• All meals (from welcome dinner to farewell breakfast)
• Daily yoga sessions (on most retreats)
• All listed excursions and activities
• Professional local guides
• Airport/station transfers
• Wine/beer with meals
• AdZENtures welcome kit

Not included: International flights, travel insurance, personal purchases, additional alcohol beyond meals, optional activities, and gratuity (optional but appreciated).

Can I join as a solo traveler?

Absolutely! Many of our guests travel solo. We match you with a same-sex roommate, or you can book a private room for a single supplement. Solo travelers love our retreats because you're joining a ready-made community of like-minded adventurers.

Many of our closest retreat friendships started as solo travelers meeting for the first time!

What are the accommodations like?

We prioritize character and location over chain hotels. You'll stay in:

• Restored historic estates and villas
• Boutique mountain lodges
• Locally-owned guesthouses
• Our private ranch in Slovenia (on select retreats)

All accommodations are clean, comfortable, and chosen for their authentic connection to place. Room configurations vary by retreat—check the specific retreat page for details.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes! We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most food allergies, in some cases there is an upcharge for dietary restrictions, if you have questions, please inquire before booking. We ask about dietary needs in our guest form, and we work closely with our local partners to ensure everyone is well-fed and happy.

The earlier you let us know, the better we can plan. Some remote locations have limited options, but we've never had someone go hungry!

How do I book a retreat?

Booking is simple:

• Click "Book Your Adventure" or "Learn More" on your chosen retreat
• Select your accommodation preference
• Complete your deposit payment via credit card or bank transfer
• You'll receive a confirmation email with next steps
• Complete our guest information form
• Sign the liability waiver
• We'll send you detailed trip information 60 days before departure

What's your payment policy?

We accept credit cards (with a 4% processing fee) or ACH bank transfers (no fee). AdZENtures is registered as a travel company, so travel credit cards will earn points!

Payment schedule:

• $750 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot
• 2nd Payment due 180 days before retreat start date
• Final balance due 90 days before retreat start date

Payment plans available—just ask! We want adventure to be accessible.

What's your cancellation policy?

We understand plans change. Here's our policy:

• $750 deposit is non-refundable
• Cancellation policies vary by retreat and partner, check your specific retreat page for details
• No refund for early departure or no shows

This is why travel insurance is so important! It protects you from unexpected life events.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes! We require proof of medical coverage and strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

• Trip cancellation/interruption
• Medical emergencies and evacuation
• Adventure activities (hiking, etc.)
• Lost/delayed baggage

We recommend World Nomads or IMG Travel. Purchase within 14 days of your deposit for maximum coverage, including pre-existing conditions.
