Our Commitment to Responsible Travel

Every retreat is designed with intention—to minimize our environmental footprint, support local communities, and preserve the cultural heritage of the places we visit.

We believe travel should leave places better than we found them. Through conscious choices in every aspect of our retreats—from small group sizes and local sourcing to waste reduction and conservation support—we create experiences that benefit both travelers and the communities who welcome us.

Tela Coral

Spotlight Partner

Tela Coral is leading the charge in coral reef restoration along Honduras' pristine coastline. Through innovative coral propagation techniques and community education programs, they're rebuilding the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef—the second-largest coral reef system in the world.

Our partnership with Tela Coral goes beyond financial support. Retreat participants have the unique opportunity to dive alongside marine biologists, plant coral fragments, and learn firsthand about reef conservation. Every Honduras retreat directly funds their critical restoration work.

Investing in Local Communities

True sustainability means ensuring tourism dollars stay in the communities we visit. We prioritize local partnerships at every level—from accommodations to activities—so our retreats create lasting economic benefits for the people who call these places home.

🏡

Locally-Owned Accommodations

We exclusively partner with locally-owned guesthouses, eco-lodges, and family-run hotels. Your stay directly supports local entrepreneurs and keeps revenue within the community.

🍽️

Local Chefs & Cuisine

Every meal is prepared by local chefs using ingredients sourced from regional farmers and markets. We showcase authentic cuisine while supporting local food systems.

🧭

Community Guides

Our guides are locals who know the land, culture, and stories better than anyone. They're certified professionals who earn fair wages and share deep connections to the places we explore.

🚐

Local Transportation

From drivers to boat captains, we hire local transportation providers who know the terrain. This ensures safety, authenticity, and economic opportunity for community members.

On average, 75% of every guest investment supports the local community through our direct partnerships with locally-owned businesses, guides, and service providers & non-profits.

Cultural Support & Preservation

We believe the best travel experiences honor the places we visit. By choosing off-the-beaten-path destinations and practicing Leave No Trace principles, we protect cultural heritage while creating meaningful connections. Our destinations are chosen for authenticity over popularity—not mainstream tourist spots, but authentic places where local culture thrives and your presence makes a positive impact without overwhelming communities.
