Montana is near and dear to my heart — I'm a born and raised Montana girl, and this part of the world remains wild and untouched in so many ways. It would make for the perfect getaway and reset that teachers need, and something completely out of the ordinary for them.

The House
Minutes from Wild Montana
- Six-bedroom main house with private deck wide enough for full-group yoga, mountains on every horizon
- Separate bunkhouse for additional privacy or a dedicated host/staff space
- Daily happy hour on the deck — we're quite literally minutes from wild grizzlies roaming free in the fields, grazing and enjoying the golden hour. Watch hundreds of elk bathe in the sunlight while we gaze in awe upon these majestic creatures — it became a nightly ritual
- Montana isn't called the Big Sky State for nothing — lots of sky, lots of vast land. East Coast guests should come prepared for longer driving stretches than they're used to; distances here stretch wide and the scenery does the heavy lifting
- All meals included and prepared on-site — welcome dinner, communal breakfasts and dinners, packed picnics for park day
One Day in the Park
Yellowstone National Park
- Strategic late-morning departure — we skip the pre-dawn tourist rush and roll in when the crowds are already inside
- Short hike to Boiling Pots — the kind of geothermal weirdness that makes you remember the earth is alive and slightly unhinged
- Old Faithful with a picnic lunch on-site, timed to the eruption window
- Roughly five hours inside the park — enough to feel it deeply, not so much that anyone's begging to get back in the van
