Frequently Asked Questions
Our hikes range from moderate to challenging. A good level of fitness is recommended as we'll be hiking 4-6 hours on some days. You should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain and at altitude. We provide rest stops and go at a comfortable pace for the group.
We'll send you a comprehensive packing list upon booking. Essentials include: hiking boots (broken in), layers for varying temperatures (can be chilly at altitude), sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), reusable water bottle, and comfortable yoga clothes. Tenerife has mild weather but can be cooler in the mountains.
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. Your policy should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and adventure activities. We can provide recommendations for providers that cover adventure travel.
The $750 deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made 90+ days before departure receive a 50% refund (minus deposit). Cancellations within 90 days forfeit all payments. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment.
Absolutely! About 60% of our guests travel solo. It's a wonderful way to meet like-minded adventurers. Solo travelers are matched with a roommate for shared accommodations, or you can upgrade to a private room for an additional fee.
All meals are included from dinner on arrival day through breakfast on departure day. We accommodate dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.) with advance notice. Meals feature fresh, local ingredients and authentic Canarian cuisine. Non-alcoholic beverages are included; alcohol is available for purchase.
