A Canadian Rockies AdZENture

Crystal clear lakes. Mesmerizing mountains. Canadian kindness.

Most people pick one side of the Rockies. We are doing both.

Banff, Kicking Horse, and everything in between.

Four nights in Golden, British Columbia, and two in Canmore, Alberta — so you wake up on the wild, wet, forested side of the range and end the week on the high, dry, wide-open side. Same mountains. Two completely different worlds.

Seven national parks in a single week. Not driven past. Walked into.

And the lakes. You have seen the photographs and assumed they were edited. They are not. That colour is real — glacial rock flour suspended in the meltwater — and standing in front of it for the first time makes most people go quiet.

This is the most adventure we have ever packed into six nights, and that is deliberate. The Rockies are not a place to sit still in. Expect long days, big views, and the specific kind of tired that only comes from being outside all of it.

Then there is the part nobody puts on a poster: Canadians are lovely. Genuinely, disarmingly lovely. It is a real feature of travelling here and you will notice it by day two.

Three Signature Experiences

Everything on this retreat was chosen on purpose. These three are the heart of it.

💎 Crystal Clear Lakes

The colour is not edited. Glacial rock flour suspended in meltwater turns these lakes a blue-green that does not look real until you are standing in front of one. Lake Louise, and the iconic lakes strung along the Icefields Parkway. We build proper time around them rather than a photo stop and a car park.

🏔 Mesmerizing Mountains — Banff to Kicking Horse

Banff, Kicking Horse, and everything in between. Seven national parks across two provinces in six nights, from the Alberta side to the British Columbia side, with the whole spine of the Rockies in between. Four guided hikes paced to the group, a dedicated waterfall hike, and a chairlift to the top of Kicking Horse for lunch with the whole range underneath you.

🍁 Canadian Kindness

The part nobody puts on a poster. Canadians are genuinely, disarmingly lovely, and it changes how a week feels. Small mountain towns, local guides who actually live there, and a level of warmth that catches people off guard.

🧘 Plus a yoga barn, all your park passes, and every meal

A dedicated yoga barn for daily practice, every national park pass included, and all meals throughout. See the Inclusions tab for the full list.

Two Provinces, Two Homes

This retreat splits in two, on purpose. Four nights in Golden, British Columbia — the wet, forested, mountain-town side of the range, with a dedicated yoga barn for daily practice. Then two nights in Canmore, Alberta, on the high, dry, wide-open side, an easy run from Banff and the lakes.

Same mountains, completely different feel. Moving between them is the whole point.

Four Nights in Golden, BC

The British Columbia side. Forested, dramatic, and right below Kicking Horse.

Two Nights in Canmore, AB

The Alberta side. High, open, and minutes from Banff and the iconic lakes.

A Yoga Barn

A dedicated space for daily practice, which is not something you get in a hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fly into Calgary International (YYC). Airport transfer is included.

We collect you at 2:00 PM local time on arrival day, and drop back at the airport at 12:00 PM on departure day.

Do not book a departing flight before 1:30 PM. See the FAQ below on flight timing.
Nothing before 1:30 PM. We drop back at Calgary airport at 12:00 PM, and that 90-minute buffer is deliberate — mountain roads, weather and traffic are all unpredictable, and a tight connection is not worth the stress.

Check this before you book the flight rather than after.

Got a flight that conflicts? Email us and we’ll help you sort out a solution!
This is our most active retreat. There are four guided hikes plus a dedicated waterfall hike, and you should be comfortable walking several miles over uneven mountain terrain and gaining elevation.

Hikes are paced to the group, and every activity is optional — if a day calls for a book and a view instead, take it. But if you want an easy week, this is not the one.
We stay in two places: four nights in Golden, British Columbia, and two nights in Canmore, Alberta. Shared rooms have two beds; private rooms have one bed and no roommate.

All bathrooms are shared. A private room means your own bedroom and no roommate — it does not mean an ensuite. Eight of us in total.
Always. Plenty of guests come solo and leave with friends. With eight of us there’s nowhere to hide and no reason to. We’ll match you with a roommate in a shared room, or you can name a preferred roommate when you book.
Autumn in the Rockies: crisp bright days, cold mornings, and genuinely cold once the sun drops — especially at elevation. Snow at altitude is entirely possible in late September.

Layers are the whole answer, and the two sides of the range differ: Golden is wetter, Canmore is drier and colder. We’ll send a full packing guide once you’re booked.
Throughout this AdZENture, we’re excited to immerse you in the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, thoughtfully curated based on seasonal and traditional foods.

Please note that we strive to accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions by offering a variety of options for each meal. If you have specific dietary requirements, we’ll do our best to make adjustments within the framework of our offerings. Our goal is to introduce you to the rich tapestry of local flavors, and we believe that includes a diverse range of culinary experiences.

If guests require custom meals beyond our standard offerings or last minute changes during the retreat, there may be an additional fee, similar to an upcharge at a restaurant. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing you with a delicious and culturally enriching experience.
This is a no smoking retreat — if you wish to smoke, you will not be permitted to do so on our retreat premises.

Limited alcohol is provided. You’re welcome to purchase more for the accommodations if you’d like. If you have any concerns about this aspect of your retreat, please reach out to your hosts and we will respond with the utmost discretion.

The full Code of Conduct, alcohol and smoking policies are on your confirmation page once you’ve booked.
$750 non-refundable deposit at booking, $1,600 on April 20, 2027, and your remaining balance on July 20, 2027 — $1,600 for a shared room, $2,200 for a private one. Payment plans are available; you’ll get options in your confirmation email.
We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. Some people are already covered through their standard health care, but travel insurance is useful for other areas of the trip too — Trip Protection in particular.

It helps protect against unforeseen emergencies, which can happen at any time, and against the rest of it as well: travel delay, lost or stolen baggage and personal items, missed connections, and plenty more.

One provider we recommend is IMGlobal, because it’s designed for adventurous travellers — overseas medical, evacuation, baggage, and a range of adventure sports and activities. It’s what we use ourselves. We don’t receive a commission — we just think it’s good.
