Getting Here
The ranch is at Lepena 15A, inside Triglav National Park — about a 15-minute drive from Bovec.
Important: download your directions before entering Lepena Valley. You will lose phone service on the way in. Save the route offline (or screenshot it) while you still have signal.

Finding the driveway: continue about 10 minutes past Kamp Klin, almost all the way to the end of the valley. Look for the sign on the tree marking our driveway. One important detail: there’s a neighbor at Lepena 15 — we are Lepena 15A!
The Driveway
This is what you're looking for — the Lepena 15A sign on the tree, right at our driveway.
It's a gravel road. When you reach the buildings, park at the end of the driveway on the right. Each reservation includes one designated parking place. Bringing more than one vehicle? Extra cars will need to go back to Bovec's public parking.
Check-In
Check-in is between 3:00 and 9:00 PM. We'll usually be here to welcome you in person — and if we're not, no worries: your key will be waiting in the door of your unit. Walk in and make yourself at home.
WiFi & Staying Connected (Sort Of)
Networks: Lepena Barns · Lepena Kitchen · Lepena Big House
Password (same for all three): Lepena17*
The WiFi cuts in and out — any network starting with "Lepena" is yours to use, with the same password; connect to whichever is strongest, which varies depending on where you are on the property. Service is via Starlink and we are in the mountains, so patience is part of the amenity list. There are no TVs in any of the rooms — but there are games, puzzles, hammocks, and some of the best stargazing in Slovenia.
House Rules
- Smoke-free property — no smoking of any kind, anywhere. These are wooden buildings in a forest: the fire risk is real. A €500 fine applies to anyone who smokes in the buildings or on the property.
- Quiet hours: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Sound carries in the valley — thanks for keeping evenings peaceful for fellow guests (and the wildlife).
- Guests: please stick to the number on your reservation (2 per barn room; 5 max in Mangart, the Main House).
- Animals: allowed on the property only with prior approval from the host. A €50 cleaning fee applies, and animals are not allowed on the furniture — damaged furniture carries a €500 charge.
- Security: for everyone's safety there are exterior security cameras on the property (outdoors only).
The Fire Pit
The fire pit is free to use at your leisure. Firewood is provided — and feel free to forage through the forest for more!
Before you walk away, the fire must be 100% out. Douse it completely using the faucet by the Big House or the rain water in the blue barrel. Abandoned fires will result in a €500 fine — we're surrounded by forest and wooden buildings, so this one's non-negotiable.
Around the Ranch
All guests are welcome to enjoy the shared spaces:
- Communal kitchen designated for all 3 Barn Rooms — fully equipped for a proper home-cooked meal, with a gas stove. Tea, coffee, oil, and basic spices are provided, and there’s space for your food in the fridge and cupboards. Please, no food in the barn rooms!
- Fire pit — evenings under the stars with mountain silhouettes.
- BBQ grill — yours to use! Please grill responsibly and clean it after every use.
- Yoga platform — available for your use anytime. Yoga mats are in each room — please clean your mat after each use, and don't leave mats outside!
- Forest hammocks — the official recovery zone after a day of hiking.
- Guest House bathrooms (Macesen & Šunik) — 3 private shower rooms, 3 private toilets, 2 sinks, shared between the two barn rooms.
Good to Know
- Linens & towels are provided for every guest. Please do not take white towels outside or to the river/lake, they are for showers and indoor use.
- Games & puzzles are in each room — the official no-TV entertainment package.
- Tap water is safe to drink — straight from the Alps, and delicious.
- Trash & recycling: we recycle plastics, cans, and glass (no compost). When your trash is full, bring it to the green bin in front of the Big House.
- Temperature: If your accommodation is warm, we recommend closing all the curtains during the day to keep out the heat and opening the doors/windows in the evening to cool down and let in fresh air. We cannot add windows to any of the roofs so airflow is restricted to the windows/doors we were able to put in each room. If you are comfortable doing so, you can also sleep with the doors/windows open and the green curtains closed for privacy. If you're too cold, let us know, we can provide heaters as well as additional blankets depending on the time of year.
Out & About

- Bovec — the nearest village for bigger shopping. Spar and Mercator are open Monday–Saturday until 20:00. All shops are closed on Sundays — if you arrive on a Sunday, bring groceries with you!
