Empowering adventures in the Alps!
You are officially coming to the Soča Valley with us, and we could not be more excited. Six nights, eight of us, on five acres inside Triglav National Park. Canyoning, alpine hikes, paddleboarding, waterfalls, and a Forest Feast under the stars. Between now and June you’ll get everything you need by email — but it all lives right here too. Bookmark this page.
Two things to knock out as soon as you can. They help us prepare for your arrival and keep everyone safe in the canyon and on the trails.
Dietary needs, emergency contacts, flight details, swimming confidence and any injuries or mobility considerations — so we can coordinate your airport pickup and brief the guides properly.
Complete Guest Form →Required for every guest before we travel. It covers our adventure activities: canyoning, guided alpine hikes, paddleboarding, waterfall explorations and swimming.
Sign Waiver →Fly into Ljubljana (LJU). Airport transfers are included both ways — send us your flight details on the guest form.
Most guests connect via Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich or Venice. Venice Marco Polo is also workable by road if the fares are better.
We collect you at 3:00 PM local time at Ljubljana Airport on arrival day, and drop back at the airport at 11:30 AM on departure day.
Do not book a departing flight before 1:00 PM. The transfer arrives at 11:30 AM and anything earlier does not leave enough time. Email us if you have a conflicting flight and we’ll help you sort out a solution!
Slovenia is in the EU and the Schengen area. US, UK, Canadian and Australian passport holders can visit visa-free for short stays, with a passport valid at least 3 months beyond departure.
Check ETIAS before you book flights. The EU’s travel authorisation scheme has been repeatedly delayed, and whether it applies by June 2027 is genuinely unclear. Check the official EU site closer to travel — do not rely on us or on a blog.
Canyoning and paddleboarding both need you to be comfortable in water. You do not need to be a strong swimmer, but you should be able to swim.
Tell us on the guest form if you are not confident — the guides adapt, and there is always a dry route through the canyon.
Arrive Wednesday, June 23 and depart Tuesday, June 29, 2027. Six nights.
Coming from North America? Consider flying in a day early. The first day is much better when you’ve slept.
Late June in the Julian Alps: warm days, cooler evenings at altitude, and afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer.
The Soča is glacier-fed and cold all year. Wetsuits are provided for canyoning. Full packing guide linked below.
Slovenia uses the euro. Cards are accepted almost everywhere, but bring some cash for small villages and mountain huts.
Tips for your hosts and guides are not included and always appreciated.
What to bring for canyoning, alpine hikes and cold rivers — and the shoes everyone gets wrong.

Join PhotoCircle →Strongly recommended, and check it covers canyoning specifically. IMGlobal is built for adventurous travel.

You’re already flying to central Europe — and two of the best short breaks on the continent are on your doorstep.
The prettiest small capital in Europe, and the lake on every postcard.
Two hours from the valley, and a completely different world.
A few things about how we run an AdZENture. None of it is meant to be heavy — it just makes for a better week when everyone knows where they stand. Tap any card to open it.
You will be fitted with a wetsuit, helmet and harness, and briefed by professional local guides before you get in the water. No previous experience is needed — they run this for beginners every week of the season.
The day involves walking down a river gorge, abseiling short drops, sliding natural rock chutes and jumping into pools. Every jump and every slide is optional. There is always a way to climb down or walk around, and nobody is made to feel awkward about taking it.
What you do need: to be comfortable in water and able to swim. The Soča is glacier-fed and genuinely cold — that is what the wetsuit is for.
If conditions are unsafe, the guides will change the route or the day. That is not caution for its own sake; rivers move.
This AdZENture is carefully designed and planned specifically for your group. Our hosts are experts in the destination and have personally curated this retreat to include the very best experiences we could find and create. We ask that you be respectful to our local partners and follow their instructions, especially during our adventures.
Please be mindful of the other guests in our small groups. Be respectful of every person, their opinions and their choices on the retreat.
Unruly, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated on this AdZENture, our hosts reserve the right to stop your participation in this retreat and no refund will be provided if this occurs. Additional costs may be incurred for transportation and/or alternative accommodation and AdZENtures will not be responsible for any additional expenses.
By attending this retreat you agree to this.
Please note that limited alcohol is provided on this AdZENture. If you would like to purchase additional alcohol for the accommodations, feel free to do so. If you have any concerns regarding this aspect of your retreat, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your hosts and we will respond with the utmost discretion.
If you choose to consume alcohol on this trip, please do responsibly and note that others might not want to partake. Please be respectful of the others in the group and their personal choices.
One thing specific to this retreat: we canyon and paddleboard. Please don’t drink the night before to the point where it affects you in the water — your guides will call it, and they are right to.
Please note that this is a no smoking retreat. If you wish to smoke, you will not be permitted to do so on our retreat premises.
Throughout this AdZENture, we’re excited to immerse you in the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, thoughtfully curated based on seasonal and traditional foods.
Please note that we strive to accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions by offering a variety of options for each meal. If you have specific dietary requirements, we’ll do our best to make adjustments within the framework of our offerings. Our goal is to introduce you to the rich tapestry of local flavors, and we believe that includes a diverse range of culinary experiences.
If guests require custom meals beyond our standard offerings or last minute changes during the retreat, there may be an additional fee, similar to an upcharge at a restaurant. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing you with a delicious and culturally enriching experience.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Some people may be covered through their standard health care, but travel insurance can be helpful for other areas of the trip such as Trip Protection. Travel insurance helps protect against unforeseen emergencies which can occur at any time. It also helps protect you against other circumstances like travel delay, lost or stolen baggage and personal items, missed connections and so much more.
One of the recommended travel insurance providers is IMGlobal, because it is designed for adventurous travelers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and a range of adventure sports and activities. It’s what we use ourselves — we don’t receive a commission, we just think it’s good.
On this retreat especially: check that your policy covers canyoning by name. It is frequently excluded as an adventure sport, and a policy that covers hiking may not cover it.
Conscious Travel. Meaningful Connections. Unforgettable Experiences.
