A little ZEN in the Wild West.
You are officially coming to Montana with us, and we could not be more excited. Five nights, eight of us, a log cabin, and a sky with nothing at all in the way of it. The Yellowstone River, a day in the national park, and grizzly, elk and bison country. Between now and September you’ll get everything you need by email — but it all lives right here too. Bookmark this page.
Two things to knock out as soon as you can. They help us prepare for your arrival and keep everyone safe out on the trails.
Dietary needs, emergency contacts, flight arrival and departure details, hiking experience and any mobility considerations — so we can coordinate your airport pickup and pace the hikes properly.
Complete Guest Form →Required for every guest before we travel. It covers our mountain activities: guided hikes, the waterfall hike, chairlift access, national park travel and time at altitude.
Sign Waiver →Fly into Bozeman Yellowstone International (BZN) in Montana. Airport transfer is included both ways.
Send us your flight details on the guest form and we’ll be there.
We collect you at 2:00 PM local time at Bozeman airport on arrival day, and drop back at the airport at 12:00 PM on departure day.
Do not book a departing flight before 1:30 PM. that 90-minute buffer is deliberate — see below. Email us if you have a conflicting flight and we’ll help you sort out a solution!
US citizens need nothing more than a government photo ID for a domestic flight.
Everyone else needs a valid passport plus either an ESTA (visa-waiver countries) or a US visa, arranged well before departure. Check your own nationality at travel.state.gov — and do it early, not the week before.
Arrive Wednesday, September 1 and depart Monday, September 6, 2027. Five nights.
Coming a long way? Consider flying in a day early. The first day is more fun when you’ve slept.
Early September in Montana: crisp bright days, cold mornings, genuinely cold after dark, and snow at elevation is unusual but not impossible in early September.
Warm bright days, cold nights, and colder still at elevation. Layers are the whole answer. The full packing guide is linked below.
The currency is the US dollar. Cards work everywhere, but bring some cash for personal purchases and gratuities for local guides.
Tips for your hosts and guides are not included and always appreciated.
What to bring for autumn in the mountains — layers, boots, and the one thing everyone underestimates.

You’re already flying into Bozeman — so make the most of it. A night in town on the way in, or more of Yellowstone country on the way out.
You fly in and out of here anyway — give it a night or two.
You will be close. It is worth staying closer for longer.
A few things about how we run an AdZENture. None of it is meant to be heavy — it just makes for a better week when everyone knows where they stand. Tap any card to open it.
Altitude. We spend time well above where most people live. Drink far more water than feels necessary, take the first day easy, and tell your guide if you feel off. It is common and it passes.
Weather. Early September in Montana can deliver sun, rain and snow in the same day. Every hike depends on conditions, and we will change plans if the mountain says so. That is not us being cautious for the sake of it.
Wildlife. This is bear country. Your guides carry spray and will brief you properly on day one. Never leave food in a room or a vehicle, and stay with the group on trail.
This AdZENture is carefully designed and planned specifically for your group. Our hosts are experts in the destination and have personally curated this retreat to include the very best experiences we could find and create. We ask that you be respectful to our local partners and follow their instructions, especially during our adventures.
Please be mindful of the other guests in our small groups. Be respectful of every person, their opinions and their choices on the retreat.
Unruly, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated on this AdZENture, our hosts reserve the right to stop your participation in this retreat and no refund will be provided if this occurs. Additional costs may be incurred for transportation and/or alternative accommodation and AdZENtures will not be responsible for any additional expenses.
By attending this retreat you agree to this.
Please note that limited alcohol is provided on this AdZENture. If you would like to purchase additional alcohol for the accommodations, feel free to do so. If you have any concerns regarding this aspect of your retreat, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your hosts and we will respond with the utmost discretion.
If you choose to consume alcohol on this trip, please do responsibly and note that others might not want to partake. Please be respectful of the others in the group and their personal choices.
One thing specific to this retreat: altitude makes alcohol hit harder and dehydrates you faster, and we hike most days. Go gently, especially early in the week.
Please note that this is a no smoking retreat. If you wish to smoke, you will not be permitted to do so on our retreat premises.
Throughout this AdZENture, we’re excited to immerse you in the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, thoughtfully curated based on seasonal and traditional foods.
Please note that we strive to accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions by offering a variety of options for each meal. If you have specific dietary requirements, we’ll do our best to make adjustments within the framework of our offerings. Our goal is to introduce you to the rich tapestry of local flavors, and we believe that includes a diverse range of culinary experiences.
If guests require custom meals beyond our standard offerings or last minute changes during the retreat, there may be an additional fee, similar to an upcharge at a restaurant. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing you with a delicious and culturally enriching experience.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Some people may be covered through their standard health care, but travel insurance can be helpful for other areas of the trip such as Trip Protection. Travel insurance helps protect against unforeseen emergencies which can occur at any time. It also helps protect you against other circumstances like travel delay, lost or stolen baggage and personal items, missed connections and so much more.
One of the recommended travel insurance providers is IMGlobal, because it is designed for adventurous travelers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and a range of adventure sports and activities. It’s what we use ourselves — we don’t receive a commission, we just think it’s good.
On this retreat especially: check that your policy covers hiking and mountain activity, and that it includes emergency evacuation. Mountain rescue in the US is not cheap, and a helicopter off a Montana ridge even less so.
Conscious Travel. Meaningful Connections. Unforgettable Experiences.
