Restore your body & mind, awaken your palate.
You are officially coming to the Soča Valley with us, and we could not be more excited. Six nights, eight of us, on five acres inside Triglav National Park. Long lunches, forest walks, waterfalls, mountain springs, and a Forest Feast under the stars. Between now and July you’ll get everything you need by email — but it all lives right here too. Bookmark this page.
Two things to knock out as soon as you can. They help us prepare for your arrival and let the kitchens plan around you.
Dietary needs, emergency contacts, flight details, swimming confidence and any injuries or mobility considerations — so we can coordinate your airport pickup and brief the guides properly.
Complete Guest Form →Required for every guest before we travel. It covers our guided walks, waterfall explorations and swimming holes.
Sign Waiver →Fly into Ljubljana (LJU). Airport transfers are included both ways — send us your flight details on the guest form.
Most guests connect via Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich or Venice. Venice Marco Polo is also workable by road if the fares are better.
We collect you at 3:00 PM local time at Ljubljana Airport on arrival day, and drop back at the airport at 11:30 AM on departure day.
Do not book a departing flight before 1:00 PM. The transfer arrives at 11:30 AM and anything earlier does not leave enough time. Email us if you have a conflicting flight and we’ll help you sort out a solution!
Slovenia is in the EU and the Schengen area. US, UK, Canadian and Australian passport holders can visit visa-free for short stays, with a passport valid at least 3 months beyond departure.
Check ETIAS before you book flights. The EU’s travel authorisation scheme has been repeatedly delayed, and whether it applies by July 2027 is genuinely unclear. Check the official EU site closer to travel — do not rely on us or on a blog.
Swimming is entirely optional on this week, but the pools are hard to resist once you see them. If you would rather sit on a warm rock and watch, that is a perfectly good afternoon too.
Tell us on the guest form if you are not a confident swimmer. Nothing on this week requires it, and the guides will always point you at the shallow end of a pool.
Arrive Saturday, July 10 and depart Friday, July 16, 2027. Six nights.
Coming from North America? Consider flying in a day early. The first day is much better when you’ve slept.
Mid-July in the Julian Alps: warm days, cooler evenings at altitude, and afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer.
The Soča is glacier-fed and cold all year. Bracing, brief and worth it. Full packing guide linked below.
Slovenia uses the euro. Cards are accepted almost everywhere, but bring some cash for small villages and mountain huts.
Tips for your hosts and guides are not included and always appreciated.
What to bring for forest walks, long dinners and cold swimming holes — and the layer everyone forgets.

You’re already flying to central Europe — and two of the best short breaks on the continent are on your doorstep.
The prettiest small capital in Europe, and the lake on every postcard.
Two hours from the valley, and a completely different world.
A few things about how we run an AdZENture. None of it is meant to be heavy — it just makes for a better week when everyone knows where they stand. Tap any card to open it.
Slovenian, seasonal, and more varied than most people expect. The Soča Valley sits where Italian, Austrian and Adriatic cooking all met and stayed — so one lunch lands closer to Friuli and the next closer to Vienna.
Expect fresh cheese, cured meats, river trout, foraged things, soups, strudels, and bread that ruins other bread. Wine from vineyards that never export. Schnapps at the end whether you asked for it or not.
The Forest Feast is the centrepiece — dinner outdoors under the trees, courses arriving slowly, the whole evening taking as long as it takes.
If you have dietary requirements, tell us on the guest form as early as you can. Food is the point of this particular week, and we would rather talk it through with the kitchens well before you arrive than improvise on the night.
This AdZENture is carefully designed and planned specifically for your group. Our hosts are experts in the destination and have personally curated this retreat to include the very best experiences we could find and create. We ask that you be respectful to our local partners and follow their instructions, especially during our adventures.
Please be mindful of the other guests in our small groups. Be respectful of every person, their opinions and their choices on the retreat.
Unruly, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated on this AdZENture, our hosts reserve the right to stop your participation in this retreat and no refund will be provided if this occurs. Additional costs may be incurred for transportation and/or alternative accommodation and AdZENtures will not be responsible for any additional expenses.
By attending this retreat you agree to this.
Please note that limited alcohol is provided on this AdZENture. If you would like to purchase additional alcohol for the accommodations, feel free to do so. If you have any concerns regarding this aspect of your retreat, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your hosts and we will respond with the utmost discretion.
If you choose to consume alcohol on this trip, please do responsibly and note that others might not want to partake. Please be respectful of the others in the group and their personal choices.
One thing specific to this retreat: there is wine at nearly every meal, and a Forest Feast that runs long. Pace yourself — the point is to taste it all, not to finish it.
Please note that this is a no smoking retreat. If you wish to smoke, you will not be permitted to do so on our retreat premises.
Throughout this AdZENture, we’re excited to immerse you in the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, thoughtfully curated based on seasonal and traditional foods.
Please note that we strive to accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions by offering a variety of options for each meal. If you have specific dietary requirements, we’ll do our best to make adjustments within the framework of our offerings. Our goal is to introduce you to the rich tapestry of local flavors, and we believe that includes a diverse range of culinary experiences.
If guests require custom meals beyond our standard offerings or last minute changes during the retreat, there may be an additional fee, similar to an upcharge at a restaurant. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing you with a delicious and culturally enriching experience.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Some people may be covered through their standard health care, but travel insurance can be helpful for other areas of the trip such as Trip Protection. Travel insurance helps protect against unforeseen emergencies which can occur at any time. It also helps protect you against other circumstances like travel delay, lost or stolen baggage and personal items, missed connections and so much more.
One of the recommended travel insurance providers is IMGlobal, because it is designed for adventurous travelers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and a range of adventure sports and activities. It’s what we use ourselves — we don’t receive a commission, we just think it’s good.
Worth checking: that your policy covers trip cancellation and interruption. This is a gentle retreat, so the adventure-sport exclusions matter less here than the trip-protection cover does.
