Before You Fly

✈️ Getting Here

Fly into Portland International Jetport (PWM) in Portland, Maine.

Airport transportation is included both ways. Send us your flight details on the guest form and we’ll be there.

🕑 Pickup & Dropoff

We collect you at 3:00 PM local time on arrival day, and drop back at the airport at 12:00 PM on departure day.

Do not book a departing flight before 1:30 PM. We drop back at Portland Jetport at 12:00 PM and you want 90 minutes on top of that.

Email us if you have a conflicting flight and we’ll help you sort out a solution!

🚄 Can’t Get a Good Flight?

Plenty of guests fly into Boston instead. From there you can take the train up — four departures a day — or a small nine-seater flight to Portland.

Either way, meet us at PWM for the 3:00 PM pickup.

📅 Your Dates

Arrive Tuesday, September 28 and depart Sunday, October 3, 2027. Five nights.

Coming a long way? Consider flying in a day early. The first day is more fun when you’ve slept.

🌡️ Weather & What to Pack

Autumn on the Maine coast: crisp mornings, mild afternoons, and genuinely cold once the sun drops — especially out on the water. Layers are the whole answer.

The full packing guide is linked below.

💰 Money & Tipping

Maine is in the US, so US dollars and cards everywhere. Bring some cash for personal purchases and gratuities for local guides.

Tips for your hosts and guides are not included and always appreciated.

Good to Know

A few things about how we run an AdZENture. None of it is meant to be heavy — it just makes for a better week when everyone knows where they stand. Tap any card to open it.

This AdZENture is carefully designed and planned specifically for your group. Our hosts are experts in the destination and have personally curated this retreat to include the very best experiences we could find and create. We ask that you be respectful to our local partners and follow their instructions, especially during our adventures.

Please be mindful of the other guests in our small groups. Be respectful of every person, their opinions and their choices on the retreat.

Unruly, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated on this AdZENture, our hosts reserve the right to stop your participation in this retreat and no refund will be provided if this occurs. Additional costs may be incurred for transportation and/or alternative accommodation and AdZENtures will not be responsible for any additional expenses.

By attending this retreat you agree to this.

Please note that limited alcohol is provided on this AdZENture. If you would like to purchase additional alcohol for the accommodations, feel free to do so. If you have any concerns regarding this aspect of your retreat, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your hosts and we will respond with the utmost discretion.

If you choose to consume alcohol on this trip, please do responsibly and note that others might not want to partake. Please be respectful of the others in the group and their personal choices.

Please note that this is a no smoking retreat. If you wish to smoke, you will not be permitted to do so on our retreat premises.

Throughout this AdZENture, we’re excited to immerse you in the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, thoughtfully curated based on seasonal and traditional foods.

Please note that we strive to accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions by offering a variety of options for each meal. If you have specific dietary requirements, we’ll do our best to make adjustments within the framework of our offerings. Our goal is to introduce you to the rich tapestry of local flavors, and we believe that includes a diverse range of culinary experiences.

If guests require custom meals beyond our standard offerings or last minute changes during the retreat, there may be an additional fee, similar to an upcharge at a restaurant. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to providing you with a delicious and culturally enriching experience.

On this particular AdZENture: seafood is central — a lobster haul and a mussel farm are two of our three signature experiences. We do not recommend this retreat for vegans or for anyone who doesn’t eat seafood.

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Some people may be covered through their standard health care, but travel insurance can be helpful for other areas of the trip such as Trip Protection. Travel insurance helps protect against unforeseen emergencies which can occur at any time. It also helps protect you against other circumstances like travel delay, lost or stolen baggage and personal items, missed connections and so much more.

One of the recommended travel insurance providers is IMGlobal, because it is designed for adventurous travelers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and a range of adventure sports and activities. It’s what we use ourselves — we don’t receive a commission, we just think it’s good.

Questions

As soon as you can, and no later than 60 days before we travel. It carries your dietary needs, emergency contact and flight details — we plan the airport pickup from it.
Tell us early and we’ll work something out. The scheduled pickup is 3:00 PM at PWM, but we would rather know in advance than have you sitting in an airport wondering.
Yes. Email experiences@goadzenture.com and we’ll set up a schedule that works for you, as long as the balance clears by July 30, 2027.
Your $750 deposit is non-refundable. This is exactly what travel insurance is for — it covers cancellations for reasons none of us plan on.
Not even slightly. Plenty of guests come solo and leave with friends. With ten of us there’s nowhere to hide and no reason to.
Email experiences@goadzenture.com any time. No question is too small, and somebody else is almost certainly wondering the same thing.
